The idea is good, however many improvements are needed: 1. The text should move slower. 2. Should be able to resize the app while its running, not only move it - for instance i want it longer and thinner. 3. Would be nice to customize it - different colours for instance. 4. An option where you can have it running from start-up. Please address those to make it a five star app. Thank you.

Actually quite disappointing. Firstly, I find the whole thing takes up too much space and am surprised that I cannot reduce the size of the font - or make it wider and less deep - and more transparent. No display options at all in fact. Secondly, there is no way to choose which news you are interested in, be it World, US, Europe, Sport, Local, Finance, Entertainment etc - or check from a list of alternative sources. So lets see an update quickly because as it is I feel I have wasted my money. Sorry.

This is definately a version 0.x app. Good start, but not really ready for prime time. 1. Doesnt support Spaces 2. In dual-display setups, launches on the main display even after moving it to a secondary display 3. Only supports a single feed? 4. Scrolls too fast, should be user-configurable 5. Zero customization available (font, color, size, etc) For those who like the concept of a ticker-style rss presentation, look into Zipline on the App Store which addresses all of the above except font size (and which also supports Twitter feeds, iCal events and tasks, Console messages, and Facebook). Its more expensive, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Hopefully, Nobody LLC will look into Zipline as an example of what is possible with this sort of all.

I was looking for something like this and I didnt like it at all. It was slow and even after changing the settings you couldnt get one continuious scroll I went with another Ticker called Snackr not in the app store but it is 10 times better!

Well, I just wasted another dollar on an APP that doesnt work. I would have first contacted the developer before writing this review, to give him/her the benefit of the doubt and to respond to my comments, but they DO NOT LIST ANY CONTACT INFO. 1) When modifying the settings, they do not save (ie, I changed the text to "slow" and "big" but they did not change. 2) It is impossible to stretch the ticker any wider than a few inches, so you cant pull it across your screen.

i finally found a good one, its a news ticker with a transparent bar and moving news! RSS feeds can be added as a playlist. awesome!

Love the concept, nice and clean. It just needs to be a real ticker: - Stream the news one after the other (i.e. the begining of the next headline is showing as the current is leaving the screen) - Go all the way accross the screen (resizable) - Custom background (opacity)

I like this program, there are some modifications I would make, however, and I write them in order of priority. 1. Slow down the scroll, even on the "slow" mode its awful fast. If the ticker were wider, itd be okay. But the ticker is narrow to begin with. 2. Allow users to customize the font, window color, etc. 3. Perhaps allow the ticker to be expanded more, both horizontally and vertically. 4. Keep finding news sources. Decent app, worth the $0.99.. hope to see some good updates in the future.

This app has to be the most reliable and available news ticker for the mac to date. You would think with todays technology and advancements news tickers would be a dime a dozen! But, no, they arent. This is the best functioning ticker app for the mac next to "Universal Ticker," which is an awesome ticker for the mac, even much better than this one, but it constantly crashes. So, I decided to purchase this app instead. I also see it has been a while since this app has an update and I hope that there might be one again soon. Some future recommendations for this app: *Change font/sizes. *Allow color for fonts and box background; even full transparency of box. *Option for placement within the Menu Bar itself. *Option to inscrease the box both horiziontally and vertically. *RSS option for latest news (breaking news) only that cycles continuously until after a certain time (ex, 5, 10, 15, or 20 min.) as this would alleviate the constant repitiveness of cycling through headlines that are old and dated.

It would definitely be nicer if you could slow down the ticker further, and/or be able to widen it all the way across the screen. I do like the simplicity and the price. Advanced users probably should look at more expensive apps.

much better compared to another ticker i downloaded earlier. Here you can choose the soruce of the news, and the stories load up quickly. very useful for a desktop. Happy so far.

I debated downloading this app. A lot of mediocre reviews. But then…I read an update from the developer that made it seem like the one major complaint about this app had been updated — and that is the size of the scroll bar itself. Yes, you can adjust the size of the scrollbar, but you cannot stretch it to the total width of your desktop. This is a major problem. The scrollbar, in essence, is tiny. The develpper needs to allow the scrollbar to extend across the entire length of any display. Additionally, another problem is that only one news story appears at a time in the scroll window. Perhaps the reason why it is so tiny. Why the developer couldn’t create a real news ticker that displays several news stories across the entire span of the scroll bar is beyond me. Appearance wise, this is a really nice ticker. It could be the most phenomenal news ticker available in the Mac App Store — that is, if the developer pays attention to these complaints and addresses them. Wish the deveipper would put a little more work into what he/she started and make this a really great ticker. In the meantime, it’s a useful app, but downloading it will make you wish it was so much more. Let’s hope for an update.
